What we do
Services & Price List
Prices are a starting point. The exact figure depends on your dog's size, coat condition and how they find the groom — it is always agreed with you first.
Full Groom
This includes a bath with a thorough shampoo, blow dry, brush out and full styling using clippers, scissors, a nail trim if needed and ear cleaning upon request. For double or smooth coated breeds, de-shedding is included instead of clipping, but scissors can still be used to tidy up the feet, ears and hygiene areas upon request.

Puppy Intro
This is ideal for puppies 12–16 weeks, after their second round of shots, and includes a gentle bath and blow dry, a brush out and trimming of the hygiene areas, paws and eyes. It will last no more than 1 hour 30 minutes. If your pup is especially anxious and unable to be completely finished within that time, they won't be pushed any further — next steps and further grooming will be discussed for their wellbeing.
- Small breedsfrom £54
- Large breedsfrom £64
Nails Only
This includes only a nail trimming. The price is fixed for regular appointments; especially anxious dogs who need extra care and attention (and may require desensitisation) will cost more and have longer appointments.
- Small and medium breedsfrom £15
- Large breedsfrom £20
Desensitisation Sessions
Anxious dogs who struggle with grooming may benefit from desensitisation. This is a process in which your dog is able to set their own boundaries and communicate what their level of comfort is, in a safe and supportive environment. We work our way up over time with lots of encouragement and positive reinforcement (and treats!) until your dog is able to be groomed with little to no discomfort.
- Intro session — 15 minutes. Meet & greet, getting to know your dog and their specific struggles and fears.£15
- Mini session — 30 minutes£25
- Standard session — 45 minutes£30
- Full session — 1 hour£40
Before you book
Terms & Policies
The important things to know before your dog's appointment. If you have any questions or concerns about these policies, please get in touch.
My promise to you
I will take care of your dog as if it were my own, treating them with care and patience, and will be devoted to ensuring their wellbeing. Your dog will have access to fresh drinking water while in the salon, and I will contact you by call or text when they are ready to be collected.
I cannot diagnose any ailments, but will let you know if I notice anything worrying so that you can seek veterinary advice.
Deposits & cancellations
A 50% deposit is required to secure all bookings. This deposit is fully refundable if the appointment is cancelled at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice will forfeit the deposit.
Reminder texts are sent out 48 hours before your appointment if you have booked more than 3 days in advance — but if you don't receive one, it remains your responsibility to arrive on time or to let me know of any changes.
Late arrivals
Ten minutes or more is considered late for your appointment, and it may be treated as cancelled if the length of your dog's groom would interfere with later appointments. Alternatively you could opt for a shorter groom, such as a bath and a tidy up focusing only on the necessary areas. In cases of emergency, exceptions can sometimes be made.
Matting
Matting can be extremely uncomfortable or even painful for a dog, and is difficult — and in some cases impossible — to simply brush out. Any dog that comes in with matted fur will have the matted areas shaved down in accordance with the Animal Welfare Act 2006, to protect the dog from pain, suffering, injury and disease.
This is always discussed with the owner before shaving, and help and support is offered on keeping your dog's coat healthy between grooms.
Fleas
Fleas are highly contagious and cause discomfort, pain and possible illness. If fleas are found on your dog I will contact you immediately to collect them, and the groom will most likely be stopped where it is. Appointments for the rest of the day usually have to be cancelled or rearranged so the salon can be deep cleaned and treated.
In these cases there is a £25 charge for deep cleaning the salon, and a paid deposit cannot be refunded — so please keep your dog's flea treatments up to date.
Stress & aggression
If at any stage during the grooming process your dog shows excessive signs of stress, I may finish the groom where it is to prevent unhealthy levels of stress. If your dog shows signs of aggression, I will stop the groom and advise you on how we can proceed.
Dogs who find grooming difficult are very welcome — desensitisation sessions are designed for exactly this.
Not sure which service your dog needs?
Send an appointment request with your dog's breed, age and coat, and Poppy will advise on the right groom and confirm the price.
